Rosie's 8th Birthday List

And now you are 8! What a year, Rosie! Every year that you grow, we meet more of who you are and what you enjoy. You've taken an extra large leap in responsibility and made more room in your heart for love as you welcomed your brother into the world. 

You knocked our socks off when you played Mr. Wolfie in the 2nd grade play, and you continue to be curious and full of wonder as you experience new things and meet new people. 

You are an amazing big sister to Sadie and Barnes and we love the fact that most days, we can find you on your bed with a good book. 

What an amazing year you had.

Citizenship Award

Rosie was chosen by her peers to win the citizenship award for her classroom. Being a good citizen includes showing character in each of the 5 values: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness and caring. Rosie had already won the caring award earlier in the year. Being voted in by your peers is no small thing. Way to go, Rosie!

Easter 2015

We celebrated our first Easter as a family of 5. Uncle Dave and Auntie Gayle came from Flagstaff to meet Barnabas David and help us celebrate the morning. There were bunny pancakes and an easter egg hunt. After church, we said teary goodbyes to the Eckerts and headed to Pasadena for more egg hunting and easter dinner. What joy to be together, celebrating Jesus' sacrifice, Grace and Love in each of our lives. I pray that we do not take it for granted in this time.
