We Miss The Coach!

Ron has been gone all week on business, so Rosie and I have been holding down the fort. Every time Ron calls I tell him that she has mastered another milestone. "She's walking!" "She's talking!!" or "She's learned to drive your truck!"
Truthfully, the only thing that she has really mastered this week is scooting backwards by pushing herself with her arms. It's hilarious.. and she's quite efficient! Maybe she can scoot backwards to Long Beach tomorrow to pick up Daddy!

Rosie Grows a Beard!

Rosie's favorite spot to nap during the day is on a faux bear rug that her Uncle Doug and Aunt Ruth gave her. I heard her starting to wake up this afternoon and as I went to pick her up I noticed that she had grown a little beard. The fur from the bear had stuck to her little drooly chin to create some nice facial hair. I cracked up- and took a picture. Also posted are some cute pictures of her sitting up like a big girl, as well as some ones of her taken on our lawn out back. The blue Bumbo seat was a "pass-along" from our friends, Taylor and Mindy. Rosie loves sitting in it. Ron thinks she looks like she is sitting in a little jacuzzi.

Rosie Loves Wrigley!

Ron and I are simply kidding ourselves when we think that we are Rosie's favorite people. She is in love with our Golden Retriever, Wrigley. It doesn't matter if we are standing on our heads making the funniest faces ever seen.. if Wrigley walks into the room Rosie's attention is stolen. She loves to grab Wrigley's lips and bury her head in his fur. He is a rather energetic dog, but when he gets around Rosie he turns into the most mellow patient dog in the world. He does like to lick her face, which we are trying to curb. She has been known to lick back too.. yuck. We find comfort in the old wives' saying that a dog's mouth is cleaner than a human's... but somehow I just don't see how this could be possible. Nevertheless, we are glad that Rosie and Wrigs will grow up together as buddies. We can't wait until Rosie can ride Wrigley like a horse!

New Chompers!

Rosie has 2 teeth! She's showing off her 2 pearly whites these days! We can't believe how fast she is growing. She has been a trooper too! Dad's fingers make for the best teething ring.. I highly recommend it!

Rosie Goes Bananas!

Rosie's current favorite food is bananas. Technically, she has only tried two other foods, but so far bananas are at the top of of her long list of 3 foods. This morning instead of spoon feeding her, I decided to put a big glob on her tray so that she could explore. She didn't quite get the hand to mouth concept, so I guess this is a video of her sitting in her diapers staring at the bananas... but she sure does look cute!

Valentine's Day

Ron pulled out all of the stops in making Valentine's Day magic for his girls. It started with breakfast at The Beachcomber and ended with Mama's favorite margaritas at El Ranchito. Our little Cupid made her first Valentine's debut!

Our First!

So, at first thought, a blog seems like a rather self-absorbed thing to get started. It seems odd to set up a page where all I do is write about us. But, I thought it might be a fun way for our out of town family and friends to keep up on our little Rosie. I certainly am Rosie-absorbed these days, so if you would like to check out what our little family is up to I will keep you posted with stories and pictures!
