In the Swing of Things

We bought a swing for Rosie a few weeks back- it's taken some time to get it ready for use. It was worth the wait! She LOVES it!

Easter

We had an amazing Easter weekend. On Friday my friend, Jenny, invited Rosie and I to her church's Eggstravaganza. Rosie got to experience her first egg hunt. Take notice of how far she made it over the starting line. She was perfectly content with just one egg with a mini Reeses' Peanut Butter Cup inside. Later, she got to enjoy a giant slide, bounce house, balloon, and a churro. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time.

Sunday afternoon we drove up to Pasadena to spend Easter with the Hunts and Welches. We had a fun egg hunt, delicious BBQ, and a Cornhole tournament. Mimi proved herself to be the secret sleeper MVP of the afternoon. What fun!

Take Time to Stop and Smell the Rosies

A few weeks ago, Ron took a day off in the middle of the week as he had worked several weekends in a row. It was a special treat for us and we decided to take Rosie on a bike ride on Coronado in San Diego. We had a great time exploring the little island, eating at one of our favorite restaurants, Miguel's, and of course, taking time to stop and smell the flowers.

Mickey's House

All of my students' portfolios were due today. So I spent yesterday at home putting them together and adding last minute changes, right? Well, actually, I blew off the responsible route and took Rosie to Disneyland to meet Erin, Lucy, Mimi, and Papa. Don't worry, I still got everything done after Rosie went to sleep last night. Oh, the sacrifices we make for The Mouse!

Rosie enjoyed watching Minnie from a safe distance.

Flagstaff Coming Soon!

At the beginning of March, we went to Flagstaff for a long weekend. My parents were there speaking at a conference in Flag. We drove out to spend time with Ron's brothers and their families, and visit the Grand Canyon with Mimi and Papa. Later that week Dave and Gayle and the kids came out for some sunny weather... we had a great time. Ron took all of the best pictures and I have not yet downloaded them. More to come!

I'm not the best blogger....

I'm really not that good at blogging. To be a good blogger, you need to be consistent. I am not. I write 3 blogs in one week and then go for a month or so without any updates. So, this is one of those weeks where I'll overload you with Eckerts! Sorry!

Many Different Hats

I've felt like I have been wearing several different hats these last few months, as I try to keep our little world from spinning completely out of control. Rosie's taking it all in stride by donning a few hats of her own. She's obsessed with wearing either her bike helmet.... or her little green ski hat.... all of the time. Keep in mind that it's generally 70 degrees where we live!

This really isn't a good picture, in that it doesn't do justice to just how much Rosie wears her hat. I'll post a better one soon!

The best part of the helmet head is hearing Rosie ask, "Bieeee?!" (translation: bike)
