San Luis Camping Trip

Last trip before school started:
Camping in San Luis.
We really had a great time and made some great memories... but the only thing I can recall as I look back over the pictures was how out of control Sadie's camping hair got.

Rosie is 7

Rosie picked an "Under the Stars with Rosie" party for her 7th birthday. Her requests were, pizza, Mimi's spice cake, games, friends, family,  all things star shaped and a special outside viewing of The Pirate Fairy. Ron did a juggling routine with "glowing planets" and may or may not have beamed one of the party guests in the head with one of the planets and made her cry. It was a very fun party. Rosie surrounds herself with good people :)

Rosie's family birthday included a bike ride to Molly's for breakfast and dinner at Ruby's. What fun to be 7!

Dear Rosie,
You are 7!
Rosie's top 10 memories from being 6:
10. Moving quickly up the gymnastics ladder and perfecting the back hip circle on the bar
9. Emerald Cove Day Camp
8. Mrs. Neill's class
7. Good friends and new adventures
6. Becoming an avid reader
5. Earning a Junior Ranger badge in Yosemite with Lucy
6. Wisconsin (enough said)
5. Brieann and Jon's wedding
4. Buying lunch on Fridays at school (hey, it's HER list)
3. Reading a lot of the Magic Treehouse and American Girl books
2. Playing the mouse in the Cinderella play
1. Having fun with Sadie

I love you,
Mom

OC Fair 2014

One of our summer traditions includes the Orange County Fair....

Wisconsin 2014

As soon as Rosie's day camp session was over we packed our bags and headed to Wisconsin for some summer fun. We overlapped the Hunts for a few days of cousin magic. A few days later Ron joined us for his first mid summer vacation in 12 years. We had so much fun. New this year was fishing, waterskiing for Rosie, inner tubing and swimming to the swim dock for Sadie. Time with Mimi and Papa and Nana and Papa Bordeaux is always a treat. It's truly the happiest place on earth.
