Ride Like the Wind- Sadie Style

Sadie's Feast and Flop Fest

Sadie had her Thanksgiving Feast at school. She got to pick her Native American name.... Running Dog. She's too cute for words. She also decided to take a break from swimming and try gymnastics... or as I like to call it, Flop Fest. It's hilarious. 

There's a ton of flopping, rolling and falling that goes on in that class. 

She loves it!

October 2014

Halloween 2014... we had an Amelia Earhart and an Elsa.  Sadie was clearly in good company with the rest of San Clemente dressed as the citizens of Arendelle. We picked out our pumpkins, carved them the night before and then had our chili dinner and trick or treating with friends (costumes required.) The only kicker this year is that we have no kitchen! Our home renovation is for a later post... but let's just say we're getting really good at cooking over a camping stove! Our contractor likes to call our 450 square foot living space our homeless camp....

I went as Rosie the Riveter and Ron went as Wayne from Wayne's World. Half way through trick or treating someone called out, "Hey! It's Lieutenant Dan!"

That was it.. he was Lieutenant Dan for the rest of the night :) 

Did I mentioned that we're expecting a little boy at the end of March? 

Oh Boy! 

East Coast

Ron and I dashed away for a long weekend in Cape Cod where we met all of the Eckert brothers and wives to celebrate Steve's 50th birthday. Fall colors, rain, clam chowder, bike rides (Ruth gets the Vincenzo Nibali award,) fishing boats, The Ships Knees Inn, Boston, Giants beating Cardinals, the the Atlantic, Swedish cream and scones, time together, the Wellfleet Oyster Fest, great conversation, Ron's Abrahamstag, lots of laughs...

San Luis Camping Trip

Last trip before school started:

We really had a great time and made some great memories... but the only thing I can recall as I look back over the pictures was how out of control Sadie's camping hair got.
