We piled in the new car and headed to Flagstaff for Thanksgiving. It was fun to have Allison travel with us! We enjoyed time with family, explored Flagstaff, ran the sled dogs and enjoyed the cold weather! What fun to be together!

Medieval Times
I got to preview a new program that Medieval Times was promoting for schools. I brought the girls, as my dates. We got to eat with our hands and cheer for the green knight.
It was a fun girls night out.

North Carolina- October 2016
Ron and I have been married for 12 years! 12 WONDERFUL years. We decided to celebrate by heading back to the Grove Park Inn in North Carolina for a long weekend. We were completely spoiled on this trip! We checked in to the hotel and were upgraded to an amazing room where we had a concierge at our beck and call and an amazing happy hour each evening.
We had SO MUCH FUN.
We enjoyed the hotel and the spa, played cards each night by the giant fire places in the lobby, explored Asheville, hiked, watched the leaves change, relaxed and floated in the spa mineral pools, took a tour of the Biltmore Estate, tasted beer the New Belgium Brewery, talked, laughed, read and reflected on 12 years of marriage. One of the highlights for both us was running/walking along a trail on the property of the Biltmore. It was gorgeous and we were grateful for the chance to explore.
What a gift to be married to the best man ever. I am the luckiest.

Things Are Really Heating Up!
Just as the rest of the nation starts to pull out winter coats and put an extra blanket on the bed, San Clemente hits the record heat index. Every year. Without fail. I made a little water table for Barnes to play with one day when it got unbearably hot inside. He amazed me with his ability to focus! He sat and scooped water from one bowl to the next for about 30 minutes. When the scooping got real, Barnes got up on his knees. When the scooping got super intense... he stood up.
I love this kid!
