We took the kids on a quick camping trip in April. It was Barnes' first night in the wilderness.... and by wilderness, I mean Doheny Campground which is on the beach and about 5.5 miles from our house. Car camping with little ones is the best. Everyone gets really dusty... and Ron had to remind me to let it go after I wiped Barnes' hands with a baby wipe for the 87th time. I love making food around the fire and sleeping in a big family pile in the tent. Barnes had the best night of sleep ever as he shared a sleeping bag with me. I think it reminded him of the womb. The next morning we rode our bikes to Molly's for breakfast before heading home for showers. That's my kind of camping!
