We celebrated New Year's Eve with the Sherreitts. Chili, poppers, minute to win it games, root beer tasting (kids) real beer tasting (grown ups).... we even watched the ball drop... in New York... on East Coast time. All were in bed by 10: 07. It's my kinda night!
The next day we met Mimi and Papa for a bike ride around Dana Point and then back to our house for dinner. One of my all time favorite pictures of this year is the one of my dad playing the guitar on the red couch. Happy, happy chaos is ensuing all around him. It's a picture of our life right now. There's 86 things happening all at one and life is filled to the brim with of fun and movement, and NOISE!
Thank you, Lord, for this time. Don't let us miss it!
Later in the week we ventured on to the ice skating rink. Only, it was 85 degrees out and there was 3 inches of water on the top of the ice. The girls didn't care- they loved it. Ron showed off by skating backwards and doing some killer hockey stops.
