What a difference a year makes! Last year at this time, we were barely moved back in to our newly remodeled house and we were still just a family of 4! We are overflowing with gratitude and joy- we have been given so much. We attended the Christmas Eve service at SCPC before heading over to the Campbell's for the tradition of gathering the staff together for an intimate, sacred dinner together with friends. We knew it was time to head home, change into Christmas jammies and get to bed when the girls heard the reindeer hooves on the Campbell's roof! Mimi and Papa joined us just in time to get the cookies and carrots out for late night guests. Santa definitely made his stop at 1207 Calle Toledo and the house was alive with energy and excitement in the morning. American Girls, Grace and Julie were at the top of the list and Santa definitely delivered.
My prayer is that we pause come to a screeching halt in this season, and in every season, to wonder, ponder, and live in gratitude for the true gift of love that came down to rescue us all.
