Sadie's Birthday Fiesta!

6 years old! Say it isn't so!
You, Sadie William, are taking the world by storm at age 6. You are the delight of those around you. Everyone who meets you falls head over heals in love with little you, Sadie.
Your family, friends, teachers and coaches appreciate you so much.
You show love to your friends at school.... both the kids that everyone like and the kids that might get left out or picked on. You take such good care of people. What a joy it is to watch you be both a big AND a little sister. It's not alway easy, but you do it so well. We admire what an adventurous and curious spirit you have. We love watching you play sports, run wild, try new things and appreciate the beauty of the world around you. You're always up for everything!
God has blessed you with an amazing blend of qualities that sometimes don't go together! You are both silly and thoughtful, wild and gentle, loud and listening. You are hilarious and you have a sophisticated sense of humor. You can appreciate a party and also are content to play by yourself. Your creativity and imagination are spot on.. what an honor it is to see the lady that you are growing into.  Our (my) prayer is that I can create space and safety for you to be who you are- that you know full well that you are loved beyond measure by a God that is both shaping you and cheering for you every moment of your life.  Go seek it out and try it all, Sadie.
The world is a better place because you're in it.
Happy Birthday, Baby.

Sweet girl had some very simple but high energy requests for her birthday. Basically, what it boiled down to was that she wanted a rager with tons of friends, a bounce house, some games, food, a Mimi Cake and maybe a movie... oh, and can it please be Christmas themed?
OK. Are you sweating yet? Here we go:
Ron got a bounce house for the driveway. It was dark and we live on a busy street, so I also recruited Rosie and her gang to be junior counselors to help regulate. We ate all of Sadie's favorite foods, played games and watched the wild rumpus around us! Man, being 6 is fun! And also crazy!
